Nature protection - art project: The orchids of the Danube-Auen National Park
At the center of the project are native orchid species in the Danube-Auen National Park, as well as conservation and scientific aspects of their preservation.
For the exhibition project, I am painting all 22 orchid species with acrylic on canvas. There are also some "frame pictures" planned that address conservation or scientific aspects. The goal is an exhibition where the painted pictures will be displayed.
The nature-conservation-art project "The Orchids of the Donau-Auen National Park" is thematically linked to my Master's thesis at the Institute for Integrative Nature Conservation Research (INF) at BOKU. My Master's thesis dealt with the "Reproductive success of Anacamptis morio in the Donau-Auen National Park. In recognition of my scientific efforts in connection with my thesis, I received a scientific award from the City of Vienna in the field of “biodiversity” in 2018. Reed more!
Künftige Projekte
Camphill Hogganvik Landsby – Arbeit und Leben in Freude und Harmonie
Mit dem Camphill Hogganvik Landsby in Norwegen verbinde ich viele schöne Erinnerungen durch mehrere Auslandsaufenthalte.
Kennengelernt habe ich Hogganvik im Zuge des Sozialpraktikums meiner Schule, wo ich mit Hilfe des Leonardo da Vinci Projekt der EU, im Sommer 2006, in die Arbeit und das Leben in einem Camphill Einblick gewinnen durfte.
Im darauffolgenden Sommer (2007) verbrachte ich meine Schulferien in Hogganvik, und arbeitete als sommer hjelp (Ferialpraktikantin).
Im Frühjahr 2009 kehrte ich schlussendlich für ein Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr zurück und verbrachte sieben Monate als „unge medarbeider“ (junge Mitarbeiterin) in Hogganvik Landsby.
Es sind viele Jahre vergangen in denen ich, außer einem kurzer Aufenthalt in Drammen bei meiner ehemaligen Mentorin, Norwegen und Hogganvik nicht besucht habe. Doch in meinen Gedanken ist es fest verankert. Seit einigen Jahren habe ich den Wunsch Hogganvik zu malen. Die Häuser, die Landschaft, die Freude und Harmonie, die dort zwischen den Menschen untereinander einerseits, als auch zwischen den Menschen mit der sie umgebenden Natur andererseits, bestehen.
